Being free is the basis of being american. All other things about being an American falls after that. Being an American is also being you, being yourself. You have a right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and it is a right all Americans should exxcersize.
to be an american you would have to be bron in america. you should be willing to fight for your country when ever they ask you to go and fight for your belives. you should talk about your country whlle your in a differrent one. and you should always stand up for your country no matter what!
To be an American, it means that you are born in America. It means you have the given rights to own land, pay taxes, and have a job. It means that the past generations of your family have experienced hardship, wealth, terrorization, discrimination, or phenomena. To be an American, it means you live in America, buy American products, have a job in America and help the economy grow in our country.
To be an american is honorable, to fight for your rights and to stand up for the little guy. To be american is to stand up for what you believe in no matter what the cost, even to sacrifice yourself to uphold what you believe in. Also, to be open minded and just. That is what it means to be an american to me.
Being an American means you have a wide variety of ways to live your life. You can be almost anything you choose to be. You can have your own beliefs, your own values, and your own morals. No one can tell you what to believe, and you aren't forced to believe anything you dont want to. The only rules you have to follow are laws.
An american is someone that was born in America. It has nothing to do with skin color or anything of at matter. When living in America you know that you are a free citizen. You have you own freedom of speech as well. If you are an American you should be proud that you hold a spot here in America.
I think that being an American means that you have cerrtain values that the founder's of the nation believed in. They believed that people should be free; be free to speak, be free to express themsevles, and be free of an oppressive government.
I believe that being an American Is ...... To be able to pursue your happiness and be able to express yourself freely
An American may just be a person that was born in America and raised here, but to me it means so much more. To me, an American is one that loves his country more than anything on this earth, knows what their country believed in when this country was formed, and stands up for it. They don't let any one affect their faith in their core beliefs and values and remain strong.
Being an American is not only being an American citizen, it also about morals/values. All true Americans have one value in common. Equal rights and freedom for everyone despite race, age, or sex.Kyle
To be an American it means many things. For starters, it means freedom. If you were born in America you have freedom, not only in action but also in speech. You have freedom of religion, and to make your own life choices. Being an American means sometimes you may have to fight, but it will all be worth it.
To be an American means to be free in many ways, such as to believe in what ever religion you would like, live where in the country you would like. To be an American means to be able to celebrate holidays, whether religious or not.. America believes that everyone should be treated equally no matter the circumstances.
To be an american means to be free. We as Americans are extremely lucky to have been born free. We have been free throughout history for the longest time. Out original values consisted of having a nice house to live in and a wife and children to call our own. However, we now believe that money is the only source of happiness. Most Americans consist of the Christian religion which means that most traditions consist of a time for Christmas in which we believe that was the day that Christ the savior was born. However our beliefs have swayed to where the children in our world believe that Christmas is not jesus's birthday, but a night in which an overweight man comes down your chimney to give free presents. Overall our beliefs as Americans are extremely selfish and we should really change our values.
As an American, I find it to be something to cherish. The mulitiple freedoms are only fair to the multiple rules we must follow. The freedom is what America made on, so that's my biggest belief. Though we abuse it, most of us are good people. Being an Amerrican means that you're proud of what you have, and are not afraid to show some sympathy to your fellow Americans. I, on one hand, am not proud to be one, because of how others have been treating their communities....and also of how stubborn our government seems to be getting. I'd much rather live in Canada ;)
